Arranged by Patrick Mohide. This evening will have an emphasis on composition, that is, what makes a good photograph, and will also speak to the rich history of photography – great photographers. There will be a brief introduction to his Lightroom photographer catalogue, followed by movies on techniques of composition, a group discussion and lastly movies on techniques of famous photographers.

John is a Trillium master photographer who has travelled extensively. John has collected many beautiful and stunning images of his travels that he will share. This night could be like a trip to adventures around the world. 

March 9, 2019 – Three Club Show
March 12, 2019 – 7:30 pm – How did I do that?

Some members will be asked to share how they created select images. While the emphasis will be on creative work, photo stacking, post processing of landscape images and other types of images may be shown.

March 14, 2019 – Mirrorless Cameras Interest Group Meeting
March 19, 2019 – 7:30 pm – CLINIC #5 RESULTS

All entries will be shown. Images, scores and awards will be identified. Comments on some of the images will be provided.

This can be in the form of an A/V Show or can be a series of images.

Presentations should be no longer than 8 minutes.

Brian Thompson is a working photojournalist, in his 33rd year at The Expositor, the Postmedia daily newspaper in Brantford, Ontario. Submit images for Critique Night
April 23, 2019 – 7:30 pm – Critique Night for Trillium Members

Experienced club members will offer constructive commentary on members’ images. This is to be a learning experience, so submit images where you want answers and not images that might be your best work.

Submit up to a maximum of 5 images on any subject or technique to Judy Boufford at [email protected] no later than Tuesday April 9th at midnight.

The images are to be sized as for clinics.
The images should be numbered followed by your name, e.g., 01 Jane

Doe, 02 Jane Doe, 03 Jane Doe, etc.
The images may be going into a future clinic, be from a prior clinic or any image you want to have critiqued. Janet will confirm receipt of the images.

We will critique as many images as possible for each participant given any time constraints.

April 30, 2019 – APP NIGHT – Photopills and others

 

The April 30TH presentations include an overview of the “Photopills App”  presented by John Chapman and “How To Back Up My Photos” presented by Andy Langs.  
 

The Photopills owners have offered a free copy of Photopills to a member who attends the presentation.   Members should write  their name, email address and device type (IOS or Android) on a slip of paper and put it in the box at the registration table.  A draw will take place after the presentation.  John will provide the winner’s information to Photopills for them to contact the winner with a coupon code for them to download the application from the Apple or Google store.

“How to back to backup my photos”
Hard drives can fail.  Computers can get lost or stolen or damaged.  Don’t let your only copy of your photos disappear.  Andy will show you how to ensure you have a backup in three different places, including how to backup to the cloud.  We will cover both Windows and Mac operating systems and leave lots of time for questions.
