Outing to the ROM – Wildlife Photographer of the Year

When: Sunday Feb 16, 2020, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Where: The ROM, 100 Queens Park (Bloor and University), Toronto

Cost of Combo ticket (ROM + Wildlife Exhibit):

        – Adult $31   

        – Senior $24

Lunch: at Druxy’s in the ROM or some place nearby.

This is the 6th year the ROM has housed the 54 year running competition. The exhibit features 100 new photographs of stunning landscapes and wildlife. With your combo ticket you have access to the Permanent Art collection. Other Exhibits to check out at your leisure – Toy Soldiers, Dawn of Life Preview, The Royal Arts of Jodhpur, India, Designing Asia design & Contemporary First Nations art. Parking is available at various locations around the ROM for a fee.

Public transit using the GO train to Union station, then take the TTC, Yonge-University Line to the Museum stop.

Meeting Point:

The ROM will be busy on Sundays so we plan to get there early.

There is a GO train from Burlington arriving at Union Station at 10:10 am. I will be boarding the 1st car (heading east towards Toronto) from the Appleby station departing at 9:14 am. Let’s meet in the 1st car. I will also wait a few minutes on the train platform when we arrive at Union Station at 10:10 am in case you took a different car.

For those of you choosing to drive, I will meet you at the main hall where ticket purchases/pick up are located at 10:30 am.

If you purchase ticket online, pick the 10:30 am time slot.


Photography with flash and video recording is permitted in most permanent galleries for personal use only, with hand-held equipment.

The use of tripods, monopods is not permitted inside the buildings.

Photography may not be permitted in special exhibitions. Signs will be conspicuously posted in galleries where photography restrictions are in effect.
