Explorer & photographer George Kourounis shares hair-raising tales from his many worldwide expeditions to photograph storms, volcanoes and other natural disasters. He’ll also give you tips on how to use bad weather to your advantage, how to protect your gear, and how to stay safe in the worst conditions imaginable.
 
 
Biography
 
George Kourounis is an award winning explorer, global storm chaser, television presenter, and Explorer In Residence for the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. He specializes in capturing Mother Nature’s temper tantrums on camera and in the process he’s traveled to 75 countries on all 7 continents, hosted 50 episodes of the “Angry Planet” TV show, climbed mountains in North Korea, and earned Guinness World Record while leading a National Geographic expedition to Turkmenistan. When not travelling the world, George calls Toronto home where he is the Chair of The Explorers Club Canadian Chapter.
