Speaker: Olivia Goldstein – The Path to the Perfect Portrait.
Taking portraits of people seems like a simple task, but often presents its own challenges. In addition to the technical aspect of taking the photograph, a portrait is an image that reflects the person’s character. This requires the photographer to know how to connect with their subject, understand posing, and learning to show character through imagery.
Whether you are a beginning photographer new to the world of portrait photography, or an experienced shooter looking for some inspiration and helpful pointers, this workshop is designed to show you how to create a creative and professional portrait for any occasion.
Olivia will aim to cover the following topics:
- connecting with your subject and making them feel at ease
- lighting: things to look out for & home studio set up
- props, clothing, and other elements (more than one person, backgrounds, etc.)
- Photoshop tips
