Alternative Transportation 6 6 6.5 18.5 John Bunyon Pictorial Silver
J1 Fun capture. The dog almost blends in with the rocks - needs brightening as does the man#039;s skin. The rocks in the background could be toned down so the main subject is more visible. Also make sure the focus is in the man's face and on the dog. The background appears sharper than the main subject.

J3 Very pleasant scene made interesting with the longer shutter speed. Good color rendition with the gold and silver tones reflected on the water. The three foreground rocks provide a nice entry to the image.
The lighting is uneven through the image, very dark on the bottom to very bright about 2/3 into it. Suggest lightening the foreground amp; mid ground left, and darkening down the brightest areas. This can be done in CS with a New Layer (soft brush set to white to lightn) with flow at 4/5 .

J2 Wonderful Urban Nature story and the direct gaze of the falcon adds further impact and connects to the viewer. Suggest further tightening the crop (while keeping the crop ratio the same) to further bring attention to the subject and also help reduce some of the HoM background. Check the chest feathers, looks soft compared to the ones in front and behind. Odd that they#039;re out of focus (could be motion blue from the wind or ruffling) A bit of selective sharpening on the feathers would help details

Lake View 6 5.5 6.5 18 James Hamilton Pictorial Gold
J2 The composition works well for this image along with the framing from top right. A few technical issues bring the score down: Horizon needs to be straightened, White bar on left and top of frame is distracting, Halo along the top of the treeline. The main issue is also the image has severe artifacts noticeable in the water and sky which degrade the quality. Overall tone is also muted which goes against the expectation of the sunset. Suspect issues are from overprocessing an underexposed image

J1 Evokes serene feeling. Her pose is natural and peaceful. Work with your composition, leaving more space in front of her, instead behind her. Select less distracting foreground (right side esp.) J2 The monochrome treatment works well to show off the details in the building. Good sharpness throught. The composition is a bit tight and lacks any breathing room. Tree On Galiano 7 6.5 6.5 20 Janet McNally Pictorial Gold
J2 Nice base tonal range for the BW. Composition works well to guide the eye around the image. The soft lighting leads to a rather flat image. This could work to your advantage to pull up the shadows a bit more. There is some interest in the sky as well that could use some contrast boost to bring up the cloud detail. Try following it up with some selective tonal contrast in the land portion to further accentuate the details in the rocks.
