Speaker – Carlos Richer

Fascinated by the image, Carlos Richer completed a bachelor’s degree in visual arts with a specialization in photography at the University of Ottawa, while working as a projectionist in a repertory cinema. In 1992, he moved to Montreal to work as a photographer, then began studying computer graphics at College Marsan, to start the digital turn on Adobe Photoshop 1.5 … His degree in pocket and passionate about Photoshop, he started a career in teaching photography, computer graphics, video and multimedia. In 2004, he acquired College Marsan, which he directed for 15 years. Since 2012 he offers several conferences on inspiration, creativity and how to find your photographic style. In 2018, he sold the school and went back to full time teaching at Old Montreal Cégep. Since 2020, he is dedicated to printing large format and fine art images, while continuing to offer multiple conferences, training and support for image enthusiasts everywhere. Since 2024, he has been creating and sharing short videos on photography and creativity on his free YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@Photo-synthese.
