Alley At Dawn 7 5.5 5.5 18 Patrick Mohide Pictorial Gold
J1 The light area at the corner could be sharper. As it is, the brighter area draws the eye to the out of focus detail. J2 There is an interesting story in the composition of this image. However the impact is lost due a lack of sharpness and lost detail in the exposure (blown high lights and no detail in the shadows). Perhaps using a tripod may have helped keep the image sharp. Watching the histogram on the back of the camera would have informed the taker that detail was missing and exposure could then be corrected. J3 Interesting composition and nice viewpoint; however, all of the building should be sharp. When making a picture, make certain that you know where the camera is focusing. In addition, the lighting is very harsh, some highlights are blown out and the dark shadows hide all detail in those areas. This is worth trying again in better lighting and with more depth of focus.
